Consultation and Color Selection
Come in and look through the STEK Fashion Films range in person. Color reads differently under shop light than it does on a screen, and this is a decision worth making with the film in your hand. We go over the finish, the coverage, and what the car will actually look like when it is done.
Drop Off and Loaner Car
Hand off the keys and take a free loaner, based on availability. A full body color change takes several days, so the loaner stays with you until your car is ready.
Prep and Disassembly
The paint is washed, decontaminated, and prepped. Proper coverage means light disassembly, because wrapping edges cleanly and hiding seams is what separates a color change that looks like paint from one that looks like a wrap.
The Install
Each panel is cut and fitted custom to your vehicle, then checked under proper light. Every painted surface is covered, so the whole car carries the same finish and the same protection.
Reveal
We reassemble, walk the finished car with you, and hand back the keys. Your factory paint is untouched underneath, and the work is backed by a 10 year warranty.

Metropolitan Detail did a fantastic job of applying full body PPF to my new-to-me 2015 Dodge Challenger Hellcat. The car's Sublime Green body and satin black hood look phenomenal now. The PPF is practically invisible (other than the everlasting shine) and knowing that it's as protected as it can be makes driving the car a lot more fun! Is this the same as a vinyl wrap?
No. Fashion Films are paint protection film, derived from automotive grade paints. They are roughly three times more durable than vinyl and they actually protect the paint underneath.
Will it damage my paint?
No. On original factory paint, the film can be removed and your paint is exactly as it was.
Does it protect against rock chips?
Yes. That is the point. It is real PPF, so it takes the impacts your paint would otherwise take.
Can I go back to my original color?
Yes. That is one of the main reasons people choose film over a repaint.
How long does it take?
