Metropolitan Detail has spent three decades on new car protection in Redmond, serving drivers across Bellevue and Seattle. Quality over quantity, and we stand behind what leaves the studio.

Our Story

Built by car people, for car people.

Metropolitan Detail started in 2006 when two childhood friends who loved cars saw a gap in the quality of auto detailing and set out to fix it. One side of the shop was built on paint correction and ceramic coatings, the other on custom paint protection film.

That same standard runs the shop today, from a facility built for the work, with a crew trained from the ground up. This year marks our 20th anniversary.

2006

The shop opens

Two friends set out to raise the bar on detailing and paint protection in Redmond.

2013

New talent joins

A film and marketing background joins the team, later stepping into running the shop day to day.

2020s

Certifications deepen

STEK Black Label and CarPro CQuartz Reserve, backed by hands-on training and standards.

2025

New ownership, new suite

New ownership takes over as sole owner, keeps the crew, and adds a second suite splitting dedicated PPF and dedicated detail spaces.

2026

20 year anniversary

Three decades protecting the Eastside, with the same standard that started it all.
